The BIMs are a special type of bombs in the Btooom! game. They were used in the online version of Btooom!, but were used as well when the game was put to real life.
Description
The BIMs are usually made from dark metal, with a futuristic design. Of course, the BIM types all have an other design.
The BIM can only be activated by the original user. How this user is "modified" for the bombs is unknown, but the bombs do only need a fingerprint of this user. This means that other users can use these BIM as well, so long they are activated by the original user's fingers/hands.
Players of the Btooom! game keep their BIMs in specially designed hip sacks. These sacks can hold up to ten BIMs and are only used in the reality game. In the online Btooom!, players keep their BIMs in some sort of metal plateau's attached to their left arm and can hold up to eight BIMs.
Types of BIM
Throughout the game, there are several types of BIM that a player can use.
- Cracker BIM, the most common BIM. A simple bomb that explodes at impact.
- Timer BIM, a BIM that counts down from 10 until it detonates. Timing is important and it can be useful with tactics.
- Implosion BIM, a spectacular BIM that sucks in its surroundings and then implodes. It is most used for destroying large and hard objects.
- Blazing gas BIM, a BIM that spouts blazing gas when exploding. It can destroy a lot of area and cause lots of deaths at once.
- Homing BIM, A BIM with wings that can lock-on and follow its target, after which it explodes. However, this BIM does not have a really high explosive capacity.
- Remote Control BIM, BIM that can be detonated on a distance. Very useful for ambushing.
- 1300°C Flammable Oil Splashing Flame BIM, a BIM that causes to split fire into four directions, to corner an opponent
